History
Founded in 2945 by retired UEE veterans Richard York and Lauren Wetoskey on Earth. The fleet consists of light to medium merchant vessels, and light to medium combat spacecraft, providing inexpensive alternatives to the larger carriers. This new company has s a story to write!
Richard York is a retired UEE Vice Admiral and served 30 years with the Navy Logistics Command(NLC). Serving in combat commands like Fleet Combat Logistics Squadrons 4, 9, and 30, he saw combat with the 1st, 5th and 7th Fleets in the actions against the Vanduul, Xi An, and anti-pirate missions. He also served at NLC as Maintenance Officer, Operations Director, Military Contracting Officer, and retired as NLC’s Fleet Operations Center Commander. After retirement, he briefly worked at After retirement, he briefly worked at Crusader Industries as a consultant for the Hercules Starlifter Program, acquiring a C2 variant for operational testing under a bonded contract. Richard and Loren founded Y&W Transport one year later.
Lauren Wetoskey is a UEE Naval Reserve Rear Admiral and served 22 years as a fighter pilot, squadron tactical officer, squadron commanding officer, carrier air wing commander and aircraft carrier commander. Serving in combat with Squadrons 1, 26, and 44, Carrier Air Wings 1, 15, and 24 aboard the aircraft carriers UEES Banshee, UESS Odin, and UEES Kiel, fighting the Vanduul, Xi An, and anti-pirate missions. A highly decorated warrior, he has amassed 533 confirmed victories in 22 years. Promoted to Captain, he was made commander of the Fleet Fighter Weapons School, teaching dogfighting tactics to the next generation of pilots. On his last tours he was assigned aboard the UEES Banshee as Commander Carrier Air Wing 1, and after the death of the captain of the UEES Banshee during a Vanduul raid, he assumed command of the carrier. When the UEES Banshee was decommissioned in 2944, Lauren decided he was ready for a change too, joining Richard York and forming Y&W Transport that same year.
