Welcome to Yggdrasil. We take on all aspects of the new frontier including mining, trading, privatized military activity, bounty hunting, security, etc. From small single operative missions to full-scale military operations, we will take contracts of any sort, granted adequate funding is available.
History
Yggdrasil was founded in August of 2884, following the events of the fall of Caliban. Absolutely disgusted with the ill-prepared and lackluster UEE after witnessing the events firsthand, including the Vanduul invasion on the planet of Crion and the utter annihilation of the UEE Navy’s 88th Squadron, a man named Artanis Morrison founded the organization of Yggdrasil in secret as its first ever Hierarch. Artanis initially wanted to create a military force with better organization and more firepower to be able to stand up against the Vanduul threat, but as the years went on after its secret formation, Artanis’ vision grew much wider. Seeing room for improvement in every aspect of citizen life, Artanis laid out the mapwork and the infrastructure for Yggdrasil to become more than just a private military- he saw potential for it to become a trade leader, a research hub, a mining guild, a business- Artanis began to build the framework for an Empire.
Manifesto
Yggdrasil aims to become one of the most prominent organizations to date in every field. Our goals include establishing ourselves as a dominant military force, expanding our trade networks throughout the galaxy, building our treasury for the benefit of all of our members, researching new technologies, and providing jobs for many citizens. Our motives involve the active seeking of technological advancement in the fields of science, medicine, weaponry, resource allocation, etc. We wish to secure a future in which all citizens have access to trade, territory, new technology, etc. granted they have adequate funding. Yggdrasil does not hold specific political leanings, nor do we have any affiliation with religion or cults of any sort. Yggdrasil values trial by combat and success through merit. We believe that through hard work and dedication, a citizen can accomplish anything.
Charter
Upon joining the organization, the members of Yggdrasil are expected to follow the code of law hereby instated by our Hierarch:
No acts of Piracy against or in the name of Yggdrasil
No random acts of violence against or in the name of Yggdrasil
Do not abandon your post, your orders, your mission directives, your fellow members of Yggdrasil or otherwise, unless directly ordered to by a superior officer (questionable acts/orders will be considered for treachery by a council consisting of members selected by, or including, the leading members of Yggdrasil)
No acts or behavior consisting of racism, homophobia, hate mongering, etc.
