History

Blackwater Conglomerate is a private security company started in the year 2518. Its founder, Davros Krem, was one of the first colonists to settle on the newly discovered planet 342A.03M, now known as Terra.

The newly christened Terra is used as a forward operating base for terra-forming and expansion. Davros Krem saw the opportunity for a security venture, which would be fueled by the influx of traders eager to make it to the new systems beyond. Krem knew what he had to do to keep the wave of pirates abusing incoming vessels at bay.

Blackwater Conglomerate was formed, a corporation dedicated to serving merchants and larger trading organizations alike. While only limited to a few escorts to begin, BWC was limited to protecting the skies above Prime, Terra’s capital. As more and more merchants made their way to Terra, Blackwater Conglomerate was able to expand and prosper due to the drastically increased planetary traffic. As the sky turned to the planet, and the planet turned to the system, BWC’s influence grew and grew until it was one of the most renowned security corporations in the universe. It even played a large part in the Second Tevarin War, leading the defense of Elysium IV with one of the largest fleets ever mustered.

Like all large corporations, there is rumored to be a “dark side”. For Blackwater Conglomerate, this dark side took the form of XE Services. Despite many cases brought to court on Blackwater’s sometimes excessive use of force when dealing with pirates, the acts paled to the rumors of “XE Services”. While there were no ties officially made between XE and BWC, many claim that Blackwater uses XE Services as a way to create supply and demand for security in sectors. The UEE have attacked Blackwater with press regarding piracy and smuggling countless times, but they have yet to produce concrete evidence connecting Blackwater Conglomerate and XE Services.

Following Davros Krem’s death in year 2567, Blackwater began to decline due to a lack of efficient leadership. Other security companies rose to fill the holes, but none could protect the vast space that Blackwater Conglomerate covered. Traders have become frequent victims to constant pirate attacks in the recent years, as a result of the inadequate security presence.

The year is now 2944, and Blackwater is once again emerging from the shadows.

Manifesto

It takes time to get what you want, what you need from the universe. And once you have what you need, it will take more than transports to defend what you have earned.

The universe is a dangerous place, and we are your protection.

Our fleet will be dedicated to providing you, the customer, with the highest level of security possible. If we can’t defend you, we’ll avenge your name and carve it into your enemy’s corpses.

Our fleets and squads will be available for mercenary work. While our main focus will be providing security to caravans and transports, our agents may act as mercenaries and fight for your cause, for a price…

Blackwater Conglomerate does not hold people back, and we do not have favorites. Every member’s voice will be heard, and every member will be treated as part of our brotherhood. If you are ready to hold that next rank, and possibly lead a squad of your own, we’ll give you that chance. The roles of a Chief (our highest rank) are not reserved for friends and coworkers, they are reserved for people who deserve the title.

This is your game, play as it as you will. We only ask that you let Blackwater Conglomerate be part of your legacy.

General Rules and Expectations

Members must always display or in some manner promote BWC (Unless specified otherwise by a commanding authority)
If a member commits an act that is deemed heinous by our upper management then there will be a quorum held by the founders of Blackwater to determine the perpetrators punishment which could be as minor as a fine to as extreme as banished from Blackwater with a bounty on your head.
Members must remember that actions you take reflect not only Blackwater but your superiors. Members are reminded to refrain from taking any action or making any decision that could potentially change the direction for the company.
Pilots are reminded that in order to start making commission and getting better assignments you must have an up to date ship and some combat/flight experience.
There will be a general bank for funds made and donated by the members. This will allow us to get larger ships for more intensive security assignments as well as spare ships so you will not have to risk your beloved ship in the fray of battle, or even just the dangers of space.
We are a tight knit group of people. You could be one of the newest members and if you need help even a founder (if available) will come to your assistance. We expect this of all of our members. A willingness to help can go a very long way.
Members will respect one another and show each other kindness, understanding, tolerance, and patience.
Those under the leadership and guidance of higher ranking officials should remember to always be respectful and understanding. Those of the higher ranks are there to help you and guide you, to make your life easier and bountiful. .
Never say anything to anyone that you yourself would be offended by. Remember to be polite and considerate of others. Especially patrons.
