The Fraternal Order of the Pathfinder has commissioned numerous units whose sole purposes are areas such as medical science, agricultural development, and infrastructure. The Vanguard Division’s sole purpose is the discovery, exploration, and scouting of new worlds and their dangers.
History
During the early years of human expansion the Fraternal Order of the Pathfinder was founded with the sole purpose of guiding and capacitating this goal. The Pathfinders consisted of philanthropist, scientists, doctors, veterans, engineers and many other skilled personnel. The Pathfinders have commissioned and maintain individual units responsible for advancements in biological, technological and environmental science, units involved in designing and maintaining infrastructure. At the founding of the Fraternal Order of the Pathfinder, human population had become unmaintainable. The Pathfinders commissioned a unit responsible with finding a new home world for humanity. This unit was the Vanguard Division. The Vanguard were selected from the top soldiers, pilots and scientists and tasked with the first expedition to find humanity a new home. They succeeded. After colonization and mass migration the Vanguard Division was decommissioned. Now after years of human growth and advancement in space travel, the Pathfinders have once again commissioned the Vanguard Division with the purpose of the discovery, exploration and scouting of new worlds and their resources, lifeforms and dangers.
Manifesto
The Vanguard give to the selfless performance of their duty and their mission the best that effort, thought, and dedication can provide. To this end, the Vanguard not only seek continually to improve their knowledge and practice of their task, but also exercise the authority entrusted to the Vanguard by the Fraternal Order of the Pathfinder with precision, daring, patience, and restraint, respecting the dignity and honor of fellow Vanguard and devoting themselves to the welfare of those under their command. In justifying and fulfilling the task entrusted to the Vanguard, they employ position to serve the expansion and betterment of humanity. By practicing physical and moral courage the Vanguard will endeavor to inspire these qualities in others by example. In all actions the Vanguard will put loyalty to the Vanguard Division and Fraternal Order of the Pathfinder above loyalty to organizations, persons, and personal interest.
Charter
As the game evolves and we become more social, guidelines will be established to outline trouble areas.
