The Venatores Order / VENATORES

In the beginning there was darkness, and we were afraid. We hid from the night scared of what it masked. But we survived and thrived we learned from the dark. We became the shadows. With bow, dagger, and sword we killed. Quiet as falling snow we crept, our bodies alive, listening, feeling, waiting for the moment to strike. But the night had ended. Man made his own day. With light they defended themselves… The world grew, the woods faded, there was no place for us… so we hid again. We laid dormant still listening but waiting for our time to come again. Over years and centuries and millennia the world grew. It became crowded and burdened it couldn’t hold us anymore. So we stretched our arms and reached for the stars. Then we made the leap into the void. We found ourselves drifting in the darkness awake, alive and ready! It is our time again to rise from the slumber! To venture into the darkness, to seize the night, but not with bow and sword and dagger. Nay! With might and power, with our minds we will sail our ships into the heart of the enemy and vanquish our foe. For we are the hunter! We rule the dark! WE ARE VENATORES!
