The Network is an organization founded in the year 2954. Their mission is to explore the mysteries of the universe and push the boundaries of space exploration. With a crew of brilliant minds and daring adventurers, they operate from their headquarters, The Nexus, a secret location that serves as the nerve center of their operations.
As The Network’s reputation grows, they face challenges from governments, corporations, and rival organizations, but they thrive on adversity and remain committed to their core values of discovery, cooperation, and courage. Their missions take them to the far reaches of the galaxy, where they encounter alien civilizations, discover new worlds, and unravel cosmic secrets.
Through their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication, The Network becomes a symbol of hope and inspiration for those who dream of a future beyond the stars. Their adventures become legendary, passed down through generations as a testament to the spirit of exploration.
Manifesto
Welcome to The Network! Our vision is to cultivate a friendly community where members can have fun playing Star Citizen and other games, while embracing our core values of community, player experience, respect, fair play, and collaboration. The Network is more than just a group of gamers; it is a community where respect, collaboration, and fun are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we will create memorable experiences in Star Citizen and beyond, while fostering a supportive and engaging environment for all.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to create a supportive environment for gamers of all styles. We aim to build lasting friendships and ensure that every member has a positive experience within our community. As the game evolves, our mission will too!
Core Values
Our core values are what define us as a community. We strive to adhere to them and wish all members of The Network share our values.
Community
Building a strong and supportive network of players, no matter their skill level or background. We are an inclusive org and welcome all who share our values.
Player Experience
Prioritising enjoyment and satisfaction in all gaming activities. Understanding that games are fun and entertaining, but responsibilities in our lives come first.
Respect
Treating all members with kindness and dignity. We respect everyone’s views and perspectives.
Fair Play
Ensuring that all activities are conducted fairly and ethically. We interact with other players with a good sportsman’s approach, win or lose.
Collaboration
Working together to achieve common goals and support one another in game and out.
Membership
We welcome anyone who shares our core values and wishes to be part of a respectful and collaborative community. While most activities will be scheduled around UK times, we welcome members from different countries and time zones.
Leadership Structure
CEOs
A team of The Seven principal founders who are responsible for upholding the core values, supporting members, and managing community affairs. The founders oversee the organisation, assist with in-game and out-of-game support, and ensure that the values and mission of The Network are maintained.
Directors
Our Directors support the CEOs in managing The Network’s members in game as specialists. They can mentor the newest members in the ‘Verse through FPS, Salvage, Mining, Combat and even avoiding those pesky bugs.
Communication
All official communication will occur through our Discord server. Members are encouraged to use Discord for coordinating activities, discussing events, and engaging in community interactions.
Conflict Resolution
Members are trusted to handle conflicts with de-escalation in mind. If needed, the leadership team will be available to assist in impartial mediation and to resolve any issues. The Network pride themselves on being a group of friends first and foremost and any decisions made by the leadership team to resolve issues are final. Any form of bullying will not be tolerated and will be addressed promptly by the leadership team.
Voluntary Participation
Members are not obligated to participate in any activities or events they are unable to or uncomfortable with.
Events
We ask that all members participating in events conduct themselves in a courteous and professional manner.
Amendments
Amendments to this charter can be proposed by any member. Proposed changes must be approved by the founding team to take effect.
Charter
We ask all applicants and members of The Network to read and follow our Core Values.
Fair Play
We expect our members to maintain commitment to fairness, integrity, and respect in all gaming interactions. PvP interactions with other players and orgs will be respectful at all times and a “good sportsman’s” approach will be demonstrated, win or lose.
Experience
Our org members prioritise the enjoyment, satisfaction, and overall experience of players.
Community
The Network want to cultivate a supportive, inclusive, and engaged community where players can connect, share experiences, and build friendships. The people in our org are our most valued feature.
Collaboration
Encouraging teamwork and cooperative play between members of our org, and with other orgs is our goal. The Network wish to play an active role in the wider Star Citizen community.
Respect
We endeavour to promote and maintain a culture of respect and kindness, where all members, regardless of position, treat each other with dignity and courtesy.
