Swedish Space Survey / SWESS

The Swedish space survey organisation started as a joke on board a survey ship called Franklin back in 2009.
The crew on Franklin was dreaming about finding an alien spaceship on the bottom of the sea while they where working on different jobs around the world, scanning, probing and sampling the vast oceans of planet earth.

The small survey company from Sweden grew over the years…

By the time space travel was made available for the regular people of earth the small company had evolved to the biggest survey company on the planet with its mind set on surveying the universe with all advanced technology they had used deep down in the blue.

They started exploring,probing and scanning the new frontier with great success and made enormous amounts of money selling the information to big companies that had just started poking around the universe for terra forming, mining, research etc.
It did not take long until the CEO and the other “suits” in the company got greedy and started to increase the prices to ridiculous amounts of money, this worked for a while since there was no other company with this advance tech and experienced people.

After a while however, one of the big terra forming companies got tired of being completely ripped off in the search for new worlds.
So they hatched a plan, they infiltrated the company and after a couple of years they had several spies inside that stole all the top secret information they had gathered over the years.
The most devastating blow however, was that they acquired most of the personnel that was worth a damned with promises of higher salary and better positions.

With no information to sell and no personnel to start gathering new information the company was doomed.
It took less than a year to go from being number 1 to just a bystander in the grand race for the stars.

The company was shattered and in ruins, but a small group people managed to save some equipment and one constellation aquila model.
With the constellation the small group slowly started to explore space again, but this time it was not for the money, they just wanted to get out there and live the adventurous life of exploring.
