History
Shadow Securities has been around for a very long time under various names and aliases. No one is certain exactly when it started or who the original founder was. The only thing that is certain is that we are very good at what we do. With our business covering a wide range of opportunities, we have a rather large sphere of influence in UEE, Banu and even a small amount in the Xi’an space. Pirates don’t mess with us and UEE police tend to turn a blind eye. We can get you where you need to go safely and on time with all your cargo in tact. Our organization may seem small but perhaps that is what we want you to think. In any event, our services have proven quite valuable in the past for merchants and fugitives, shop keepers and politicians, CEO’s and philanthropists. Those who secure our services are never disappointed.
The initial organization can be somewhat reliably traced back to around 2301. There are a few minor mentions of “Nightcrew Securities” and “Shadow Security Solutions” in government documents and smatterings of comments about “SS” involvement in one thing or another throughout history logs across known space. What is not certain is how exactly involved the Shadow Securities of the past were in politics and wars. There are a number of pilots and “Mercenary” ships that have most of the information redacted leaving only mentions of “Shadow —————” or “SS” legible in the documents. Aside from these and other somewhat questionable sources there isn’t much mention of Shadow Securities anywhere until around 2800 after the Ark was opened. From that point on it became a “public” organization with official documents and registered pilots and ships, etc. Many supposedly “honest” people snubbed the organization of those times as being little better than a crime syndicate. It wasn’t until the 2920s that the mention of “Shadow Securities” became a point of pride for most people who used their services. Today, Shadow Securities is an honest and well trusted security solution for any and all of your personal and business needs.
Manifesto
Shadow Securities is an organization devoted to achieving the needs of our clients. From collecting payments from those unruly customers you are sick of dealing with, to finding the guys who ripped you off in your last deal, to protecting your business meeting or even a convoy, Shadow Securities has you covered. We are here for the little guys when UEE Military and planetary police think you are not worth the time or effort to assist. We never look down at anyone because we understand sometimes hard decisions have to be made and life isn’t always easy , but hey, Shadow Securities is here to make it better. If you want high quality security for a reasonable price, come to us.
Charter
Rules
1. No jobs against current members will be accepted.
2. Customer requests will be met with no questions as to their motive.
3. Members must follow their superior’s orders when on a mission. (What you do in your own time is up to you)
4. If a collection claim comes up against a member the organization will purchase it. (Meaning you now owe that money to the org)
5. Be respectful, responsible but most importantly have fun.
Ranks And Responsibilities
Watcher – The watcher is the entry level member of the organization. As a Watcher you can expect to be deployed with higher ranked members of the organization to learn the ropes and get firsthand experience with how we do things.
Guardsman – Guardsmen are the backbone of the ground deployment services. As a Guardsman you can expect to be deployed on missions to protect specific areas, meeting places, businesses or hangars.
Enforcer – Enforcers are the convoy specialists. Pilots, technicians and other air support roles. You can expect to be deployed on convoys to ensure the safety of our customer, their ships and their cargo.
Bounty Hunter – Bounty Hunters are the strong arm of the organization. Capable and excellent at specialized activities such as persons recovery, debt collection and prisoner transport. Bounty Hunters must be both excellent pilots and skillful sharpshooters.
Veterans – Veterans are the catch-all members. Capable of doing all other roles in the organization. There should always be a veteran on any mission a watcher goes on. The secondary responsibility of Veterans, after the mission, is to train the Watchers.
Overseer – Overseers are the management of the organization. Like veterans they are capable of doing any job and will typically act as liaison between the Shadow Securities team and the customer. Must also be able to manage and coordinate missions as well as quickly improvise solutions to any issues that might arise in the field.
Roles
President – In charge of the organization manages members and settles disputes between members. Also sets up missions and distributes payments.
Commander – Directly under the boss. Holds many similar responsibilities as well as overseeing missions in progress and keeping track of the current status of all members.
Talent Scout – Scouts will mainly be in charge of seeking out new members and observing members for promotion/demotion reports.
Speaker – In charge of coordinating meetings and interacting with clients and other organizations as well as advertising for the company.
