Space Force-Planet Motherfucker originated from the ashes of New Mars, a planet devastated by war, where its inhabitants fought fiercely as members of the Planetary Defense Force (PDF) to protect their home. When New Mars fell, survivors scattered across the universe, clinging to any old military ship capable of making a quantum jump to safety.
These survivors, bound by their shared trauma and the bonds forged in battle, gradually found each other again in the vast expanse of space. They formed Space Force-Planet Motherfucker, an organization that became a haven for those seeking support, reunion, and a sense of belonging in the aftermath of tragedy. The organization’s name reflects the grim humor of its founders. When asked about their origins on New Mars, survivors of the war would often elicit pity and condolences from others. In response, they would simply quip, “yeah, it was a motherfucker…” This dark humor eventually led to the planet being colloquially referred to as “Motherfucker” over time.
