History

Origins and Founding

Sanguis Luna (SL) was born out of a desire to create a Star Citizen organization that truly embraced the spirit of freedom and adventure. Our founders envisioned a community where members could fully explore the vast possibilities of the universe, unrestricted by rigid hierarchies or conservative strategies. This vision led to the formation of SL, a place where active participation, combat excellence, and unwavering loyalty are paramount.

The Breakaway and Formation

In 2953, driven by a collective aspiration for a more dynamic and aggressive approach to gameplay, a group of dedicated individuals branched off from their former organization to establish Sanguis Luna. This breakaway marked the beginning of a new era, where the focus shifted towards creating an environment that encouraged bold actions, strategic thinking, and the pursuit of dominance in our own sector of space.

The Present and Future

Today, Sanguis Luna is both respected and feared throughout the galaxy for our adept effectiveness. Our organization excels in combat, taking on high-risk mercenary jobs (and other not-so-legal opportunities) with precision and skill. Our prowess in battle is supported by a robust foundation of industry, logistics, exploration, and infiltration. This multifaceted support system ensures that our combat operations are well-funded, well-supplied, and strategically superior.

- Combat-Focused Gameplay: Center our gameplay around high-stakes Combat, Mercenary Work, Black Ops, Infiltration, and other totally legal activities, pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve together.

Governance

Sanguis Luna is governed by a council of active leaders who regularly engage in the game and community. This council ensures that our organization remains dynamic, responsive, and aligned with the evolving needs and ambitions of our members.

Mission Statement

Sanguis Luna is dedicated to providing its members with the freedom to explore and experience Star Citizen in all its facets, emphasizing uninhibited choice and action. We prioritize fun, loyalty, and the welfare and prosperity of our members above all external entities.

Purpose

Sanguis Luna is a combat-oriented organization, designed to claim and manage our sector of space, including bases, infrastructure, and industry. We are committed to training our members to be skilled and effective, viewing all aspects of the game through a combat lens and engaging in strategic alliances to support our prosperity.

Governance

1. High Table Council: Our leadership consists of up to five active members who regularly engage in Star Citizen. This council governs by simple majority for standard matters and promotions, with unanimous decisions required for major organizational changes.
2. Code of Conduct: Members shall avoid ban-able offenses and maintain respectful conduct in greater community forums. “Don’t be too much of a dick…”

Ranks and Roles

- High Table (HT): Leads the organization in activities, growth, skill development, and community outreach.
- Adjudicator: Supports HT in organizational objectives and community outreach.
- Marquis: Trusted members leading community activities and initiatives.
- Harbinger: Engaged members with access to secure intel and piracy activities.
- Assassin: Active members with SL as their main organization.
- Concierge: Affiliate members.
- Thug: Non-members in the Discord community.
- Ambassadors: Representatives from allied organizations.
- Excommunicado: Inactive, formerly trusted members, retaining advisory roles without voting rights.

Activity Requirements

- High Table and Adjudicator: Weekly engagement with SC activities or SL initiatives, with allowances for scheduled leave.
- Marquis: Consistent involvement in organizational activities.
- Harbinger and Below: No specific activity requirements.

Organizational Structure

- Divisions and Initiatives: Focused on different gameplay aspects – Combat, Industry, and Shady Operations (Piracy, Infiltration, etc.).
- Captains and Crews: Formed by members of Harbinger rank or higher to focus on specific goals aligned with SL’s vision.
- Authority and Chain of Command: The Voting Council directs SL’s overall initiatives, including alliances and operational mandates.

- Alliances: Formed with organizations that share common goals, respecting their members and operations.
- No-Hit Targets: Entities that are off-limits for engagement.
- Hit/Kill Targets: Entities marked for potential hostility.

Finances and Taxation

- Tax Policy: Minimal taxation focused on operational needs that benefit SL as a whole, such as asset maintenance and contract fulfillment.
- Transparency: Tax levels, balances, and allocations will be openly communicated with trusted members.
- Intent: Taxes are intended to cover costs that benefit SL, taxes shall not be used to enrich SL leadership ranks.

Amendments and Revisions

This charter is subject to unanimous approval for any amendments or revisions, ensuring that changes reflect the collective will of SL’s leadership and align with our evolving goals and the dynamic environment of Star Citizen.
