Research & Industrial Brigade Security / RIBS

Created in 2793, Research and Industrial Brigade Security (Otherwise knows as RIBS) came about following the events of ‘The Massacre of Garron II’ the year previous. Terra-Forming Organizations throughout the explored cosmos came under heavy fire (both figuratively and literally) for supposedly murdering vast numbers of alien creatures in the hope to terraform planets. Smaller fleets, diving into the this rather controversial field, became susceptible to various protest groups of both the un-armed and armed variety therefore creating the need for protection during operations and transit. For a fee, fleet captains could finally feel safe under the watchful eyes of RIBS pilots.

This rather easy (and high paying) job of chasing off protestors wasn’t to last long, all thanks to the “Fair Chance Act” of 2795. RIBS would very much go into a dormant state, taking up the occasional defense contracts to make ends meet.
