“Brothers may fight and fell each other,
may sisters’ sons kinship stain
hard is in the home, whoredom severe;
axe-age, sword-age, shields cloven, wind-age, wolf-age, ere the world falls;
no men will each other spare.”
~(st.45) Völuspá The Wise-Woman’s Prophecy

History

Ragnarok was established by our fearless leader, the Jarl, in 2946 after his honorable discharge from the United Earth Navy, when he realized that his skills and training could be put to better use in the private sector.

Specializing in security and transportation, we are rallying an elite group of pilots and warriors who are eager to prove themselves a worthy addition to our organization. Ragnarok aims to be the premier provider of security and secure shipping systems. We also aim to become a force to be reckoned with, a true Private Military.

Ragnarok is not an organization one should enter into lightly. While it is preferred that things are kept on the legal side, we have been known to test the limits and push the boundaries in situations where right and wrong are grey areas.

Manifesto

Ragnarok is a Confederation of independent starfarers. While all members swear loyalty to the organization and the Jarl, they are free to act on their own desires. All members should strive to bring honor to the organizations name and will make themselves available if called upon to carry out the Jarl’s intentions.
Ragnarok is driven by the desire to expand your own individual empire, glory, and gold (or in this case, UEC).
The rules laid out in the Charter should be considered law. Any member found to be at fault for treason, breaking any of the organizations laws, or bringing dishonor upon Ragnarok, shall be tried as fit by the Jarl and any appointed officers. The punishment will be metted out swiftly and severely.

In Ragnarok we live by simple tenants; Death before Dishonor, and Glory in Combat

Charter

1. Have the courage to live by your own code of honor, but do so with wisdom and discretion.
2. Respect other people’s right to believe what they want, but live according to the truth as you perceive it in your life.
3. Personal honor is determined internally by your own commitment to live up to your predetermined ethics. It is your intentions and your actions which determine your honor, not what someone else thinks.
4. Having fidelity simply means being faithful. There are many things that you can be faithful to, not all of them of honorable. Fidelity as used here refers to being faithful or loyal to your God, to yourself and your beliefs, to your family, and to your friends.
5. If the warrior is going to live by his own standards, he must be willing to control his own actions. In order for the warrior to stay true to his own principles and virtues, he must develop self-discipline.
6. Treat others with hospitality (respect, dignity, and courtesy) not because they deserve it, but because that is how you behave towards other people. It has to do with your own principles; what others deserve has nothing to do with it.
7. Have the willingness to work hard at whatever you do. If something is worth doing, do it well. Do it with pride and do it to the best of your ability.
8. It is best to strive to be as independent of outside influences as possible. This is hard to do in today’s world. Do your best not to have to depend on other people for your welfare.
9. No one is perfect and you will make mistakes. In order to live the warrior lifestyle, you cannot simply give up and quit when you fall short of your mark. You must persevere. You must not give up.
Being a true warrior is not something you try; it is something you are. It is a way of living, a way of being. You don’t try to be a warrior – you either are a warrior or you are not a warrior.
