Semper Deinceps: Always Forward

Original Sin provides a home to those lost, a family to those alone, and remembrance to those forgotten.

History

Original Sin: Founded August 25th 2612

Original Sin has a long and bloody history, dating back to the Second Tevarin War. ORSN was created two years after the end of said war. All founding members of Original Sin were the remnants of the original 1st Marine Combat Battalion. These men and women would go on to create one of the most respected PMCs in the entire SOL system and later Stanton system. Due to their outstanding and courageous history, ORSN is the only PMC to date that is allowed an operational base on the home planet-base of the UEE Marines, Corin. They also have been invited numerous times to participate in wargames hosted by the Marines. ORSN has strong ties to their former organization, which results in similar structure and traditions. This is due to the fact that only those who have finished their contract with the UEE Marines are eligible for hire. Original Sin has been in almost every major military engagement since, due to receiving contracts from the United Empire of Earth Government or corporations looking for solutions.

Operation Oberon:

Mid-2605, Tevarin forces captured a major landing zone on the planet Uriel. This caused UEE military officials to fear this was the next phase of the Tevarin war strategy. UEE analysts recognized that a Tevarin base on Uriel could be a resupply or staging point for attacks against Vega, Bremen, or even advances through the Perry Line. If this phase of the war came to pass, it could lead to a Tevarin-Xi’an alliance. Marine General Russ Adachi encouraged the High Command to accept a surgical strike operation which would be lead by the 1st Marine Combat Battalion rather than a massive joint strike. After some debate, High Command begrudgingly agreed on the surgical strike. The 1st MCB landed successfully, infiltrated, and destroyed a quantum fuel refinery near the landing zone on June 24, 2605. However, unknown to High Command, the commanding Naval officer in this operation was a Tevarin sympathizer. This resulted in all Naval air support being withdrawn as the Marines launched. Which in turn left the 1st MCB stranded with no external help. Once the charges were detonated and the target destroyed, the Marines moved to their extraction point. It was expected that the explosion would alert all enemy units in the area. However friendly air support would intercept these enemy units while the Marines extracted, but air support never arrived. This lead to the Marines being caught in the open and the few 1st MCB gunships were quickly shot down by the overwhelming forces. With no other options, the Marines fell back to the refinery complex. They fought for 6 hours until they realized help was not coming. At this point, the Marines suffered 75% causalities but a choice had to be made. The remaining commanding officers agreed to withdraw to the nearest snowy mountain range. The Marines fought with everything they had left, as they pushed towards the mountains and safety. When they finally arrived, only 15% of the total landing force survived. Once disappearing into the mountains, the surviving members of the 1st MCB established a base of operations and went to work on starting their two year long guerilla war.

The Aftermath:

Those who survived the war were assigned into newly formed units to secure the frontier from future threats. On April 13th 2612, the Krethan Warhouse of Tevarin, these sympathizers attacked Kilian VI and massacred four settlements. Up to this point, the 1st MCB were the only unit in UEE Marine history that experienced this level of combat. This resulted in all remaining 1st MCB survivors being recalled to this battle space. Together again, they worked with the newly formed units and managed to defeat the Krethan Warhouse. Once this conflict was over, those who fought in the Second Tevarin War had accumulated enough engagements on their combat records, to fast track their discharge. Now no longer military personnel, our 1st MCB survivors decided to use their experience and expertise to form a new family. One that could bypass the political red tape and make sure no one is left behind again. The name Original Sin was chosen as a remembrance to never trust those who don’t fight by your side. In a time of war, you can only count on your brothers and sisters at your side.

Manifesto

The existence of ORSN was brought about to create a welcoming environment that enables all members to have fun and immerse themselves further into the Verse. A community of likeminded individuals with similar goals that utilize teamwork to complete any and all objectives. Original Sin is pushed forward by these core values as we grow along side Star Citizen.

What is ORSN?

Original Sin is a lawful Milsim group that was created for those who seek to experience the full potential of Star Citizen and more. We operate on EST time zone but will always work with members. The founders have knowledge of running organizations and experience with many aspects that are found in a Milsim group. With that being said, we conduct ourselves a certain way, and hold ourselves to an even higher standard. We are not a hardcore Milsim group that puts the game before everything. We understand and expect real life to take priority when situations arise, as it should. At the end of the day, this is a game and the main purpose of it, is to create a getaway from everyday life and provide fun times with even better memories.

Why join us?

Joining the ranks of ORSN will allow you to experience the one thing many people have forgotten, teamwork. Our members never work alone as there is always someone to pick you up when you fall. Being apart of Original Sin means you wont have to work on contracts alone. Whatever you prefer to do in the VERSE, you’ll be sure to find others who enjoy it as well. You can rest assured that you will be provided with a safe environment while taking part in our operations, events, or just exploring the Verse. That being said, you will never be required to take part in any operation. These are created to provide fun to our members and further improve our teamwork skills. Now there will be required events such as training, AIS (Advanced Infantry School), etc if you choose to take that path. Instructors will educate and provide the necessary knowledge needed to survive the Verse we operate in. Original Sin is a living organism and is always adapting to what is needed. You can expect to earn your rank and feel that accomplishment of your hard work meaning something. Earning ribbons and awards for your outstanding performance during operations, contract work, or taking the time to help someone. Receiving a promotion because you showed us you work hard and want to be here, or being assigned your preferred combat role. There are endless opportunities within Original Sin.

For our combat elements, we have two very different branches inside ORSN with different roles for each.

ORSN Demon Ground Branch

Demon is our ground branch of ORSN that is used for everything planet or station side. This branch is for those who like to operate on solid ground. Contracts for Demon members will vary depending on the area of operation or what is needed at the moment. These contacts consist clearing out a bunker, cave, comm relay, or hunting down a bounty inside a station. Demon units will also provide security for those mining or exploring on planet, even the occasional package pickup. There are many different roles inside Demon that you can choose from, so pick the best one for you.

ORSN Banshee Naval Branch

Banshee is our naval branch of ORSN that involves nothing but ships. This branch is for those who love working with ships regardless of the job. Contracts for Banshee members will vary depending on the area of operations or what is needed at that point in time. These contacts may consist of clearing the air space during an operation, providing air support for ground units, hunting down bounties, clearing blockades, eliminating griefers, transports ground units, escorting mining ships, or even reconnaissance. There are many different roles inside Banshee that you can choose from, so pick the best one for you.
