Founded on Terra Prime in the year 2906 by Martin Orkhan,

Mr.Orkhan was one of the key people involved at Anvil Aerospace during the late 2880’s to resurrect classic Casse Aerospace designs with modern equipment where his expertise in energy management was vital for the success of the revival of the small mobile turret platform on Anvil ships.

Reaping the rewards from his time at Anvil, Martin Orkhan decided to start up his own energy and mineral extractor organisation, with a small mining operation at first and later ventured into space with a variety of ships and bases throughout the UEE and beyond.

The company kept doing well initially but as fame and business grew, so did pirate raids on the precious and valuable energy sources and ores.

After suffering a few heavy losses in the early 2930’s O.R.E.Corp. signed exclusive package deals with Anvil at first selling numerous Hornets and later on AEGIS in 2945 as well after the latter became apparent the company could afford much heavier equipment like the [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. During one of our CEO’s many visits in the Chairman’s club while on transit, in October 2946 RSI became another heavy equipment military supplier to the OCN after the sale of a [REDACTED] was put on pen and paper there together with representatives from the UEE military and RSI.

A statement from the CEO on that day to the shareholders and press:
“The vanduul threat has never before been greater than today for our way of life and business, today OREcorp signs this UEE initiative, not only to pay respects to honour our late founders desire to repel the Vanduul from our borders, but also to unite like minded organisations to join in when needed and save countless lives together.”

Officially the OCN is under an exclusive UEE warbond initiative where we decided to establish our own militia flotilla to protect and escort our own industrial fleet or allies as part of the UEE warbond act guarded by article 31.A.6. designated officially as UEEM17155, this unit is obliged to assist the UEEN in any system present should a Vanduul attack occur.

This militia is simply called the OCN or Orecorp’s Navy, It’s a state of the art fully capable and equipped pocket sized fleet mirroring the UEE Navy for integration and co-operation where needed, OCN Marines can freely decide to swap from the flotilla under special warbond arrangements but still remain on the O.R.E.Corp. payroll, quite often called upon for mutual efforts in systems where we are present and the UEE asks for extra assistance.

Today Carl Orkhan is our CEO, son of Martin Orkhan, taking the company into the second part of the 30th century.

The corporation made a name for itself as we have a unique expertise in refining ore and processing of valuable resources for high tech applications within the UEE.

O.R.E.Corp. is an all in industrial service including the discovery and operation of mining sites within the known and unknown universe, freight services of alloys, gas collecting and refining, transportation and we are a heavy market trader.

Embedded within the OCN is a department simply called “88”, a rumoured fully equipped intelligence firm in service of the corporation and the UEE, most likely already active since those early initiative contracts

That’s all we know officially and while we suspect several key people of O.R.E.Corp. are indirectly involved, most information towards this department gets erased almost as soon as it’s mentioned… More then often people of the flotilla are not seen for months then return to regular duties without any comments about their activities.

Some even say “88” is a homage to the legendary lost Squadron.
Martin Orkhan, founder of the company was living on Crion in 2884 when the Vanduul attacked and managed to escape the system due to the heroic efforts of the doomed squadron 88.

One of his motivations to join Anvil after the attack was lend his engineering skills to them to build even better and more effective ships for our navy.
