Specializing in uncharted and hazardous territory, OPUS members come from all backgrounds and career paths, from experienced navigators and haulers to skilled combat pilots.
Founded in 2945, OPUS was originally a small exploration group dedicated to finding and selling information. However, with the acquisition of a more widely capable and profitable fleet, the group has expanded and evolved into the freelancer haven it is now.
With a history and niche expertise pertaining to all the unknown factors and dangers of uncharted space, OPUS attracts all kinds of individualists that want a consistent venue for work and/or reliable companionship in the deep black.
With it’s expansion, OPUS also possesses certain invaluable assets and information relating to it’s most lucrative prospects, kept inclusive to those that have shown an indomitable loyalty to the community.
For members, the organization can be a useful tool and resource to fuel your deep space expeditions. One may find information, additional companionship (crew, pilots, ships, etc.), or can offer those things themselves for pay or a cut of the loot. Members may also petition the Org for funding/ships/etc. if needed for higher-profile contracts.
While OPUS requires that all members on official org-sponsored expeditions abide by UEE laws and regulations, the rule has no bearing between members or when officiality is removed.
For those outside the org, we can trade various items and information obtained from our deep space endeavors, and we can also be commissioned to provide services like escort, transportation, bounty hunting, etc. in dangerous/uncharted areas.
