History
Early History
The Kitsune Transport and Shipping Network was originally founded in 2948 by Selwyn Coy with the intention of exploiting the various trading opportunities to be found in the dangerous fringe worlds of the UEE. While KTSN’s original mission profile was that of a standard cut-and-dry shipping concern, the slim profit margins to be gained from the low-value long-haul routes in the frontier threatened to sink the fledgling company. Faced with the choice between going bankrupt or risking a return to the heavily-taxed routes of the core worlds, KTSN found a third option: sensing the greater profits to be had from undertaking more “legally questionable” contracts, the organization resolved to diversify its portfolio.
A New Frontier
Today, Kitsune operates on both sides of the law, accepting varying shades of shipping contracts as well as offering “investigation and information services” to its clients, more or less working as an infiltration outfit on the side. While its pilots do their best to maintain a low profile and avoid unnecessary bloodshed, occasional run-ins with authorities and pirate factions alike result in both minor skirmishes and lethal combat encounters. With its nimble pilots and reputation for discretion, KTSN stands poised to hold a stake in the frontier for years to come.

While some other trading companies might be content to slog through every checkpoint, inspection, and rest stop between point A and point B, Kitsune aspires to move cargo swiftly and with as little undue attention as possible.

Kitsune is dedicated to the safe fulfillment of our transport contracts, meaning that should any forces – lawful or otherwise – threaten the safe delivery of our goods, our operatives will fight tooth and nail to keep your valuable investments safe.

KTSN pilots maintain a reputation as some of the most reliable in the ‘verse, largely owing to our unparalleled speed and efficiency. When you’re on the job, don’t waste any time screwing around – focus your efforts on figuring out how you’re going to complete the contract, whether that’s sprinting a package from A to B or retrieving a drive from a secure facility. You’ll have all the time in the world to take a break when you’ve gotten the job done.
KEEP IT CIVIL.
While our operations may not always be strictly legal, we’re not bloodthirsty. We’re in this for the profit and the stories, not the bloodshed or the personal glory. Keep things civil with your teammates at an absolute minimum, and treat those you meet out in the stars with basic dignity and respect – should they fail to do so in return, well, whatever happens to them from that point forward is no longer your problem.
