History

The Syndicus was formerly founded in 2945 as a group of like-minded fortune seekers looking for a change from a tyrannical whip.

After repeated demands for a more centralized military for the Syndicus republic in 2950, the Curator Council saw it fit to develop the Syndicus Astral Intelligence (SAI) division.

Dedicated to the same fortune-seeking of old, SAI benefited from an explicit directive to create an organizational home to find friends and players for not just Star Citizen, but many other games to come. SAI ops focused on camaraderie and understanding of the verse to win where the odds were equal, or even against us. This being said SAI doesn’t skip the opportunity to make some cash.

Syndicus Astral Intelligence (SAI)

SAI believes in mixing fun, players, and profit together for a family experience. If you want a group who you can call a family and home with democracy and equitable opportunity to rise, this is the place to do it. Whether it be landing troops on Lyria or running a convoy through Pyro, the Syndicus wants to find like-minded long term members to make the Star Citizen experience more enjoyable.

Intelligence

Victory is best achieved through knowledge and understanding. We elevate our players capabilities beyond sheer dexterity with a larger focus on tactical and logistic knowledge.

No Stupid Questions

We know how hard it can be to join a game like Star Citizen. It’s content is broad and its bugs frustrating. SAI leadership is dedicated to following our charter. That means forgiving you when you make mistakes, training you to be your best, and taking a no non-sense attitude to harassment of our members.

The Syndicus is no stranger to leadership and hierarchical structures. With years of experience and over 100 active members in our Planetside 2 division we know how important the leader is to the success of our organization

Anyone can step into the commanders seat on a free day and our leadership is more than ecstatic to help you go from small ship captain to fleet commander.

Syndicus Core Values (CVD)

This Core Values Document outlines how The Syndicus Astral Intelligence Division and its members conduct themselves. It imposes reasonable limits on what is acceptable and what is not.

Membership Requirements

Over 13 years of age at time of application.
Members Shall not be formally associated with or on the rolls of another organization

Code of Conduct

Division Members will engage in and support good sportsmanship both internally and externally.
Division Members shall recognize that they represent our organization when playing with us.
Division members are to keep a reasonable level of activity (being present more than once every two months) and must advise their command structure if they intend to be inactive for a period of 3 months or longer.

Division Members will not engage in or condone the act of exploiting, cheating, or associating with exploit items at any time in any game.
Division Members will not engage in or condone abusive behavior (“Bullying”, “Mocking”, “Gaslighting” etc) towards any person, entity or group for any reason whatsoever.
Division Members will not engage in or condone discrimination of any kind based on religion, gender identity, personal preferences, political views, disabilities, beliefs, or sexual orientation.
Division Members will not engage in, condone, respond to or otherwise take part in; the ruining, disrespect, teardown of any group, individual, or entity. (This means Members are not to respond to community “drama” around itself or other groups)
Division Members will not willingly share information with other groups that may damage our organization.
(This includes positioning, tactics, and battle plans etc, but can include anything documented or otherwise. If you don’t know don’t say.)

Leadership Requirements
These requirements are in addition to all other requirements.

Leaders shall not be a part of another gaming community; except in contexts that show continued loyalty and commitment to Syndicus.
An example of acceptable membership of another gaming community would be playing a game and/or faction of a game that The Syndicus does not have a presence in and/or does not actively work against the interests and health of The Syndicus.
Approval may also be given by The Division Command Structure.
Leaders of The Syndicus shall keep an above belt attitude and tone when conducting any leadership function. For example, excessive cursing towards other parties while conducting leadership functions (meetings, debates etc) is not allowed.

External Requirements
These requirements are in addition to all other requirements.

The Division will not form alliances that compromise its independent identity (I.E Organizational Mergers)
The Division must “fly the flag” in all games it runs in. Game divisions cannot change its name or colors from the officially supplied ones.
The Division shall not form alliances or cooperate with organizations that break reasonable and ethical standards in any context.
The Division must engage in good faith, and follow its values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Honor, Integrity, Personal Courage, and Friendship.

Enforcement & Exceptions
Who enforces these core values, and what are the exceptions?

These Core Values are enforced by all members of The Syndicus and its Sub Divisions (be it by reporting violations or using their administrative powers), but punishment is to be conducted by those with Administrative Abilities (The Curators, Founders, Chancellors & Game Division Leads etc)
These values are intended as guidelines for enforcement. If a member violates one of the values, the punishment must match the context and severity.
The Chancellor may pardon any member of The Syndicus except themselves for violations of the Core Values Document. Any member of the Syndicus may challenge these pardons, in which case the Curator’s Council will decide on overturning the pardon.
Obvious cases of technical violations (but are not considered punishable) are: Good faith banter, reasonable community memes (which may “make fun of” certain players in a light-hearted way). These cases should not be punished unless serious harm is done because of it.
In all cases, The Syndicus and its leadership should assume innocence until proven otherwise.
Procedure in the cases of violations.
These are the guidelines when punishing violations.

Minor offenses will result in a General Officer Memorandum of Reprimand a proverbial “slap on the wrist” with a discussion being had with the individual.
Moderate offenses will result in suspension of privileges and/or access to resources. It can also include temporary suspensions both in game and out of game.
Major offenses can range from demotion of rank at the lower end, to removal from the group at the highest level.
Leadership will meet and discuss the relevant punishment per their local policy. In all cases, a player removal from the group requires Curator oversight, or directorate approval.
