The Story of Galactic Misfits INC. (GMIN)
Every great story begins with a dream. And in 2525, that dream took shape on the planet Terra, within the Terra Nova system, in the form of Bork Brothers Inc., a logistics company founded by the visionary Bork family. In the early days, the Bork brothers built a fleet that connected the stars, creating vital trade routes that kept humanity’s expanding colonies afloat. Their business boomed as they helped forge the early networks of the United Empire of Earth (UEE).
The company’s reach grew, and the Borks became known as the backbone of galactic trade. But no empire is ever built without its cracks. By the late 26th century, those cracks began to show—tensions flared between the company’s leaders, and a bitter power struggle fractured the once-strong foundation of Bork Brothers Inc. The brothers who had built the empire from the ground up became divided. Internal betrayal, greed, and mismanagement slowly corroded the company’s strength, and what was once a juggernaut became little more than a hollowed-out shell.
By the time the Second Tevarin War (2945-2947) ended, the company had all but vanished from the public eye. In 2792, the Refounding of the UEE caused even further instability, leading to Bork Brothers Inc.’s ultimate collapse. With no other options, the remnants of the company were absorbed into the UEE military-industrial complex. The Bork legacy, once so proud, seemed to be lost forever.
But like all great stories, there was a twist.
A New Beginning
In 2939, just as it seemed like Bork Brothers Inc. would fade into complete obscurity, two unlikely individuals appeared on the scene. They were brothers, both veterans of the Second Tevarin War, and to add an odd twist of fate—they were the great-great-grandsons of Vlad Vhon-Bork, the last of the Bork family to hold control of the company. The brothers, having served with distinction during the war, had seen the galaxy’s worst and knew how to survive in the chaos of space.
They found the company’s derelict assets floating in the void, broken and tarnished, a shadow of its former self. Where others saw a dead relic, the brothers saw potential. They knew they couldn’t just bring back the old Bork Brothers—it had to be something entirely new, something that would break the mold. And so, they rebranded the company. Bork Brothers Inc. became Galactic Misfits INC.—a name that perfectly captured the brothers’ vision: a place for outsiders, rebels, and those with a little bit of something different to bring to the table.
Rebuilding From the Ashes
In those early days, GMIN was anything but conventional. The brothers didn’t have a cushy corporate office or a quiet boardroom to plot their next move. No, they built their empire from the ground up, taking the scraps of their ancestors’ empire and turning them into something no one had seen before. They embraced risk, making bold moves where others hesitated. GMIN wasn’t interested in playing by the rules—it was about pushing boundaries, challenging old ways of thinking, and daring to be something that the galaxy had yet to see.
They started by providing logistical support to war-torn systems, offering expertise in supply chains and transportation that many corporations simply didn’t have the courage to handle. They ventured into the Stanton system, taking on contracts no one else would touch, and slowly built a reputation. They didn’t shy away from the dangerous or the unknown. If anything, GMIN thrived in it.
But it wasn’t just logistics that set GMIN apart—it was their roots in military strategy, learned on the frontlines of the Tevarin War, that gave them a unique edge. The brothers applied military precision to business operations, taking the knowledge and tactics they’d learned on the battlefield and using it to reshape how commerce worked in the galaxy. They were making deals in places where the big corporations wouldn’t dare to go, where others saw instability, the brothers saw opportunity.
The Rise of the Misfits
As the years passed, GMIN started to flourish. They were no longer just a logistics company—they had become a symbol of resilience. By the early 2940s, they had expanded into mining, exploration, and even military-grade salvage operations. The brothers had assembled a team of misfits, veterans, outcasts, and dreamers—each one loyal to the idea that they could rebuild the galaxy in their image.
Now, GMIN is no longer a company. It’s an empire in the making—a force that refuses to be ignored. The brothers are driven not by wealth or fame but by a singular, unwavering vision: to build an empire that defies convention, that creates opportunities where none exist, and to challenge the oppressive forces of corporate control that have long dominated the stars. They know the risks, and they know the odds are stacked against them, but they’re willing to take it all on.
In a galaxy where power and influence are often controlled by the same old elite, the brothers of Galactic Misfits INC. are out to prove that misfits, outsiders, and dreamers can change the course of history. And as they continue to carve out their place in the galaxy, one thing is clear—the story of GMIN is just beginning.
Galactic Misfits, Inc. Manifesto
“From the Ashes, We Rise.”
The Story of GMIN
It all started back in 2525, in the Terra Nova system. Bork Brothers Inc. was born as a logistics company, ambitious and driven, setting the stage for trade and transport across the system. For a time, it was unstoppable. The Bork family had built something special, and for years, they were at the top of their game.
But like many great empires, they fell apart from within. Corporate infighting among the leadership tore the company apart, leaving it lost and fading into obscurity. The once-great name of Bork Brothers Inc. was on its last legs.
Then came Vlad Vhon-Bork. A seasoned vet of the Tevarin War, Vlad inherited what was left of the family business. The UEE was rising, and Bork Brothers Inc. was absorbed into the Empire’s vast machinery. But when the UEE refounded itself in 2792, it broke the contract that bound the company. What was left of Bork Brothers became little more than a forgotten wreck, floating aimlessly in the void.
For years, nothing changed. Bork Brothers was a ghost, a relic from a time long gone.
That is, until two brothers — veterans of the 2nd Tevarin War, and, by blood, great-great-grandsons of Vlad Vhon-Bork — decided they weren’t going to let it end like this. They saw potential in the ruins, something others missed. So, in 2939, they took what remained and turned it into something new. Something alive. Something different.
And so, Galactic Misfits, Inc. (GMIN) was born.
GMIN: A New Beginning
Look, we won’t pretend it was easy. GMIN didn’t come from some grand inheritance or an easy path. We started with a broken legacy, an empty shell of a company, and a galaxy that wasn’t exactly welcoming us with open arms. But that’s exactly how we like it. We’re the misfits — the underdogs, the ones who don’t fit the mold. We don’t want to be like everyone else. We thrive in chaos.
We’re here to rewrite the story. The Bork Brothers might’ve had their time, but they couldn’t hold on. We’re not making those same mistakes. We’ve learned from them. We’re taking the lessons of the past, and we’re forging a new future with them.
And speaking of thinking differently — let’s get something straight. In lieu of the flat Earth nonsense of the 21st century, we, as Galactic Misfits Inc., are firm believers that stars aren’t giant balls of fusion. No, they’re massive, high-intensity LED flashlights. And solar eclipses? Easy — they’re just the batteries getting swapped out. Call us crazy, but we’ve never been afraid to question the “norm.” The universe isn’t going to be defined by anyone else’s rules. Not ours. Not yours. Not anyone’s.
Oh, and one more thing. Your mistake is our income. One more time: Your mistake is our income.
Welcome to the shit show.
Our Vision:
Honoring the Past, Building the Future: We don’t forget where we come from. The Bork legacy is part of us, but we’re not shackled by it. We take the mistakes, the victories, the lessons learned — and we’re building something that’s truly ours. Innovation in the Face of Chaos: This universe isn’t easy. It’s messy. But we’re here for it. We don’t just survive in the chaos — we thrive in it. We take risks, push boundaries, and forge ahead where others would hesitate. It’s what sets us apart. Empowering the Misfits: We’re not here to play by the rules, and we don’t want you to either. If you’ve ever been overlooked, misunderstood, or pushed to the side — you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll show the galaxy that it’s the ones who break the rules who change everything. Building an Empire of Freedom: The big corporations, the political factions — they’re all about control, manipulation, and conformity. That’s not us. We’re building an empire that’s free. Free to make your own choices. Free to define your own future. No chains, no red tape — just pure, untamed freedom. The Bottom Line:
GMIN is more than just a company. It’s a testament to resilience. It’s about refusing to give up, no matter how many times the universe knocks us down. We’ve been through hell, and we’re still here — stronger than ever. The stars are ours for the taking.
This is just the start. We’re building something different — and we’re doing it our way. It won’t be easy. It might not always make sense. But we’ve never been afraid of a challenge.
We are the Galactic Misfits. And the galaxy is about to find out exactly what that means.
