The Freedom Guards are an organization that provides security and aid to those in need. We fill the gap that exist when UEE and local security forces are unable to handle pirates and criminals from hindering Citizens of the verse.
History
The history of the Freedom Guards traces its roots back to a tumultuous period in the Stanton System, a star system not far from the birthplace of the United Empire of Earth (UEE). This system, once known for its bustling trade and prosperous colonies, was thrust into chaos due to a massive increase in piracy. The rise of ruthless pirates had turned the once-thriving Stanton System into a hotbed of crime and uncertainty, leaving its inhabitants in a state of perpetual fear.
At the onset of this crisis, the citizens of the Stanton System were as diverse as the stars themselves. They hailed from various backgrounds and professions, and they had one common aspiration: to lead simple, peaceful lives in the confines of this system. However, the piracy epidemic grew to a point where the peaceful citizens could no longer bear the burden alone. They found themselves living in constant dread, as the UEE, the governing authority responsible for the system’s security, was unable to provide adequate protection and combat the pirate scourge effectively. It was in this atmosphere of desperation and helplessness that a few brave souls rose to the occasion.
These individuals, who had once been ordinary citizens, saw the dire need for a response to the growing pirate threat. They could no longer wait for the UEE to come to their rescue, and so they took matters into their own hands. United by a deep sense of duty and compassion for their fellow citizens, they banded together and formed an organization committed to safeguarding the innocent and restoring honor to the system. This courageous group came to be known as the Freedom Guards.
The founding members of the Freedom Guards, who came from diverse backgrounds such as merchant families, engineers, former military personnel, and even artists, swore a solemn oath to protect the defenseless, resist piracy, and establish a semblance of order and security in the Stanton System. Their core values revolved around the principles of justice, integrity, and unity. They believed that the Stanton System, like the shining stars above, could once again regain its former glory if they took a stand against the lawlessness that had taken root.
