The Federation will fall, and a millennium will ensue. This is inevitable, the laws of statics applied to sociology has predicted it. The Foundation of the Encyclopedia Galactica seeks to shorten the reign of chaos to a mere one thousand years.
We will achieve this goal by collecting all of humanity’s knowledge into a single tome.
