Deep Space Salvaging Coalition / DSSC

Failing to see the benefit of the immense overhead and bureaucracy (and inversely minuscule wages) involved in working for the industrial mega corporations, the founders of this coalition set out alone to make their fortune. The drawback for the small business owner always has been, and always will be, security outside of the “safe” sectors of the ‘verse. Seeking a way to level the playing field for those having the entrepreneurial spirit to carve their own profits out of the vast derelicts and salvageable wrecks waiting in the dark, the coalition was formed.

Lacking the funds for dedicated security forces, independent owner/operators and small salvaging outfits can choose to participate in the Deep Space Salvaging Coalition as a means to collaborate with their fellow salvagers. Together, resources can be pooled to provide the appropriate security, mechanics, and transport for any claim that is staked.

The Deep Space Salvaging Coalition unites independent salvage operations through a pact of cooperation. All of us need help out there, and we all stand to benefit from allies where most decent folk won’t dare travel. There are no commanders, generals or CEOs in this group. Our operation is simple: you stake a claim, and you facilitate the planning of your salvaging operation. Members of the coalition will have first right of refusal to assist with the operation, should they accept the terms of profit share laid out.

Independent owner/operators generally opt to join the coalition directly. However, small outfits/corporations/organizations currently participate through, what we term, a member organization agreement. This affords them all of the same rights and responsibilities of individual coalition members. The current participating coalition member organizations are:
