Death Nauts / DNAUT

At the end of the War for Sol (2366), members of the UEE had barely pushed back the Vanduul and regained control of the system. Squadron 99 (known as Witcher Squadron) had done their very best on Mars to push back the Vanduul on foot and in the skies. After a well deserved victory, members of the squadron returned to Earth for their recognition of such. They were however met with the opposite reaction. Many were stripped of their medals and sent into exile aboard the UEES Harbinger. After years of endless travel, in the year 2911, Squadron 99 found themselves in the Centauri System. Commander Jonathan Ryans (aka Death Naut) ordered his squadron to land on Centauri ll – which would later be called Yar – to speak with the locals if there were any. Upon landing on Yar, it was discovered that the system appeared to be under UEE control. This angered CMDR Ryans and he ordered his men to prepare for war as they were going to liberate the planet of UEE filth. The war for Centauri lasted 39 years before all UEE forces were pushed out of the system. The final battle that made Squadron 99 victorious was the Battle of the Cosmos on Centauri lll – now known as Saisei. The people of Saisei called them the Freedom Nauts until that fateful day; their efforts and ruthlessness towards UEE troops and the fall of their leader CMDR Ryans, gave Squadron 99 a new name…the Death Nauts of Harbinger (or Death Nauts). The year is now 2954 and the Death Nauts have to free Stanton from corruption of the UEE.
