“As long as there is greed, there will be violence.”
“As long as there is violence, there will be conflict.”
“As long as there is conflict… we will always have a job.”

History

The Combined Joint Task Force was founded in November of 2005.

At its start it was a Private Military Company made up of members from all over the globe. The organization functioned much the same as other Earth PMC’s of that era. They provided security, training, and transportation services both in the military and private sectors. They had land, air, and sea assets that they hired out to companies and nations that had the need and the funds to employ them. From the very beginning the company always made sure its personnel were working for the right side, not just the highest paying side. Although the CJTF has always had numerous contracts with large corporations and private citizens they have also had boots on the ground in every major conflict since its founding in 2005.

Due to its extremely strict recruitment policies the CJTF has always been a relatively small organization when compared to other PMC’s. Due to this fact its name isn’t often mentioned in the history books despite it being one of the oldest PMC’s on record.

Important Events

After making the jump they pushed past the Tevarin lines with the fleet then broke for the far side of the planet. Their objective was one of the large unknown structures with several landing pads and hangers. On their approach the facility began to launch transports which the CJTF fighters intercepted and destroyed. Once on the ground they were met with extremely stiff resistance and began to take heavy casualties. The only thing that kept the ground team from being over ran was the air support they were receiving. After two hours of fighting the enemy resistance had wavered enough for them to finally enter the facility. Upon doing so they discovered that is was a military barracks and housing unit. It took several more hours of fighting to fully secure the site. The Combined Joint Task Force was later credited with denying the enemy vital reinforcements to the shipyard and planetary defense system.

Manifesto

The goals and purpose of the Combined Joint Task Force have not changed since its founding over nine hundred years ago. It was founded by men who wanted to make a difference in their world by fighting the good fight and protecting those in need. They just didn’t want to go broke while doing it.

Flash forward nine hundred and thirty-nine years and the picture is still the same, the canvas has just changed quite a bit. Instead of trying to make one world a better place we are spread throughout the known universe protecting the innocent and bringing the guilty to justice.

The CJTF has a rich and long history of being on the leading edge of solar exploration. We hold the honor of being one of the first PMC’s to open its ranks to non human species. We take pride in all that we have accomplished and the work that we continue to do today.

Services:
  • Interior and exterior security for planet based and space station corporations and private citizens.
  • Close proximity security for individuals or groups.
  • Direct transport of legal goods to any destination.
  • Escort for commercial and private ships.
  • Apprehension and transport of UEE fugitives.
  • Security patrols inside and beyond the borders of UEE space.
  • We also provide a wide range of military and covert services.

Contact the CEO for details if you have questions about these or other services we may provide.

Charter

The rules for members of the Combined Joint Task Force are fairly basic. You are allowed a fair bit of leeway in the contracts you accept and complete. In the beginning any jobs of an illegal or questionable nature were completely rejected, but nine hundred years have passed and we now see the verse in shades of gray. There are still some contracts that we don’t want our organization being associated with but others that were once refused are now becoming our bread and butter. For example, corporate espionage although frowned upon is a contract that we allow. These types of contracts can range from information gathering to a raid on a competitors transport ship to take their prototype engine.
If you have any questions about the legality of a particular job talk to a Team Leader.

Rules:

  • If you accept a contract do everything in your power to complete that contract on time and in a satisfactory manor.
  • Do not accept official contracts that are of an illegal nature without approval of a Team Leader. Off the clock your time is your own, but do not use the CJTF name to undertake jobs that will dishonor our organization.
  • If you receive a distress call from a trusted or official UEE source respond to or relay it immediately. If at all possible you should offer you assistance. If the call is from an unknown source you should respond or relay, but it’s at the pilots discretion if they offer assistance.
  • If at anytime while in the black you encounter bandits or raiders in the commission of an attack on another vessel you are to report it immediately and assist if possible. Do not risk your life or ship in a battle you can not win.
  • While on a contract do not attack or act aggressively towards any neutral or friendly entity. If they act aggressively or attack you defend yourself and your charges with extreme prejudice.

Failing to abide by any of the above rules may result in disciplinary action up to suspension or even termination.

Failing to abide by any of the following rules will result in termination.

  • The transportation of slaves, illegal narcotics, or illegal weapons for the purpose of sale or distribution.
  • Unprovoked attacks on civilian settlements or stations.
  • Theft of goods or equipment from CJTF members or contract holders.
  • Accepting or conducting any contract that purposely results in the loss of civilian life.
