Star Hawk Logistics / CHEGDYN

The year was 2948, and Crusader was bearing witness to the Jumptown Wars. Many people were going through hard times, and ChegDyn’s founder was no exception. Ash “Cheguar” Walker spent a good portion of her time fixing up some of the freighters that got caught up in the crossfire, some may have even been involved directly, but she didn’t bother to ask. She would often except damaged components as partial compensation, which she would fix up in her spare time and resell. After awhile, she was finally able to put a down payment on an old Cutlass that she named “The Old Crow”, a homage to Squadron 214, the “Black Crows”.

When the dust at Jumptown settled, there was an excess of scrap and broken down ships at and around Yella, and Cheguar was among the rush of scrappers to swoop in and claim their share. Many fought over the most valuable wrecks, causing heavy damage that often cost more to repair then what they could get for the resale of components, but Cheg preferred to hang back and lend assistance to those who were shot up and stranded by the conflict, applying the same “junk for work” practice she had been using. As a matter of principle, she would assist anyone who needed it, regardless of whether they could pay her back. This earned her a solid reputation, and she would continue to receive orders and service requests.

Cheguar Dynamics was officially founded in late 2949, and one year later an order was placed for a Drake Corsair christened “Iron Fang” as the company expanded into exploration, a long time interest of Cheguar. The company continues to operate it’s main scrap yard out of [redacted], and in addition to scrap and component resale. also offers logistics, [redacted], and transportation services.

ChegDyn was rebranded to Star Hawk in December of 2951 with a renewed focus on long haul logistics and heavy freight with the addition of a MISC Hull-D as the new company flagship.

Fun Fact

CEO Ash Walker’s Grandfather was a smuggler in the Bremen Beltway, smuggling resistance leaders, and asylum seekers out of the UEE during the Messier regime, then back in when the time was right. There are rumors that the current CEO has carried on her grandfather’s legacy in the Nyx system, but there has been no evidence to back up these claims.
