The Origins of Bounty hunting,

Bounty hunting originated in England hundreds of years ago. Back in the 13th century, bail was a person, not an amount of money. An individual was designated custodian of the accused, and if the accused did not return to face his penalty, the custodian could be hanged in his place.

During colonial times, America relied upon the bail system set up by the government of England. In 1679, the British Parliament passed the Habeas Corpus Act, which for the first time guaranteed that an accused person could be released from prison on monetary bail.

The Beginning ,

The history of Blood Hunters of Quel ‘ Dana started with my Ancestor, Robert du Sang it means ( Robert of the Blood) he was from a little village in the Highlands of Scotland called Quel ‘ Dana , which the Origins of the village have been lost in mists of time. He was the first Bounty Hunter in our Family and started a dynasty of sorts since as he was a avid Explorer as well, which worked hand in hand with the Bounty work.
Over the last several hundred years our family always kept a small but professional group, that were extremely tight knit and Loyal to a fault, we were always known as the ‘ Hunters of Dana ‘ but it was my Great Great grandfather who survived the attack of Armitage in 2681 but at great cost, he was chasing a gang known to have been using Armitage as a base after doing a job in the inner systems, he decided to take the Family for a run as the gang weren’t known to be violent. While he was chasing a lead he took his oldest son with him, for a bit of Father son time and teach him some more of the Family Buisness. They were south of the City while the rest of the family did some sight seeing & shopping, it was August 9 and the Vanduul attacked.

How he and his son made it back to their Home is another Story & where they lived has always been kept a Family secret. It took many years to rebuild after losing virtually everything with just his son and him, a couple of years later a distant cousin found them and asked to join, they weren’t really in a position to say no as once they were a force to be reckoned with now only the 2 of them they had many enemies & the only friends they had were either in Merchant or Exploration. She turned out to be a godsend as she was very savvy with dealing with people and aliens alike and the fact that she was a stunner, according to the son( Stephen ) and the father ( Robert ) admitted as much in the family Diary as his description of her was { she is 5’ 8” long dark hair and a body of a goddess with a face of an angel } with a temper equal to a Tassie devil when she went off, but she also had a heart of gold and wore it on her sleeve, her name was Makala.

Over the next 5 years with Makala now on board, everything started to turn for the better, it was at her suggestion to bring in a couple of extra people and after been vetted by every known means at Roberts disposal ( which was prodigious with all his contacts ) they were accepted into the group, by now most of the enemies had started to hunt them down, but after hearing about Armitage, they thought that was payment enough to lose virtually all your Family in 1 day was more suffering than any retribution they could do, a couple of them even sent there condolences. It was on this day July 13 2691 nearly 10 years after that fateful day, Robert decided to change the name from Blood Hunters of Quel’ Dana as it wasn’t just Family anymore it was overall a fresh start for all of them even though the rules still applied ie : there base of Operation or Home was still kept a secret as were there real names when working, it took him awhile to feel comfortable with it but he decided to name it after our family history, been Bounty Hunters for several hundred years & with fresh Blood in our ranks we are now known as…..
