History

Est. STARDATE: 03/09/3023

The Stanton system has long been a coveted investment for the people of Earth. Its economic success and potential for growth have attracted millions of citizens to make the journey from Earth to the stars. The system is home to several prominent corporations, including Hurston Dynamics, Micro-Tech, ArcCorp, and Crusader Industries, among others, each vying for their share of the market. However, with this economic success also came a rise in criminal activity and piracy. Unscrupulous individuals sought to take advantage of the system’s economic boom, preying on the poor, weak, and inexperienced. Law-abiding citizens and businesses suffered from these illegal activities, leading to a loss of profits and a sense of insecurity. In response to this threat, the Asset Guardian Alliance was formed on STARDATE 03/09/3023. The organization’s purpose was to provide security and protection to law-abiding citizens and businesses within the Stanton system. The AGA was made up of individuals who were willing to take on the dangerous task of eliminating criminal activity and piracy in the system.

The AGA quickly gained a reputation for being a powerful force against crime and piracy. The organization was made up of traders, miners, and security escorts, all working together to help each other make money and support and protect each other. The AGA’s reputation for honesty, integrity, and accountability was well known throughout the system. To symbolize their commitment to these values, the AGA adopted the slogan “Embrace the Call to Honor.” This motto represents the organization’s unwavering dedication to upholding the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and accountability in all of its operations.

Over time, the AGA expanded its operations to other systems, becoming a respected interplanetary trade organization. The organization’s focus on responsible and sustainable business practices, safety and security, and collaboration with other members and partners led to its continued success. But war loomed on the Horizon. The great Vanduul War against the United Earth Empire (UEE) was a defining moment in the history of the Asset Guardian Alliance (AGA) and the entire Stanton system. The Vanduul, a fierce and warlike alien race, had long been a threat to the stability and security of the UEE, launching raids and attacks on human settlements and ships. The AGA played a critical role in the war effort, providing support to the UEE military in various ways. Many AGA members were former military personnel who had experience fighting the Vanduul, and they were able to use their skills and knowledge to assist in the war effort. Some AGA members served as pilots and crew on UEE ships, flying sorties and engaging in dogfights with Vanduul fighters. Others worked as security escorts for military convoys, protecting them from Vanduul raiders and pirate attacks. Some AGA members even served as traders, providing essential supplies and resources to the UEE military and its allies.

The AGA’s contributions to the war effort were crucial in turning the tide of the conflict. The organization’s reputation for honor, integrity, and bravery was well known, and its members were respected by both the military and civilians alike. The AGA’s commitment to the values of cooperation, trust, and responsibility helped to build strong relationships with the UEE military and its allies, leading to successful joint operations and missions. The war against the Vanduul was a long and grueling conflict, and the AGA suffered losses like many others. However, the organization remained committed to its mission, and its members continued to work tirelessly to support the UEE military and the people of the Stanton system. As the war between the Vanduul and the UEE raged on, the Asset Guardian Alliance continued to provide security and support to law-abiding citizens and businesses throughout the Stanton system. The AGA played an important role in the war effort, providing escorts for supply convoys and defending against Vanduul raids. The organization’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and accountability made it a trusted ally in the fight against the Vanduul.

After years of brutal conflict, the UEE succeeded in driving the Vanduul back to their home system, Pyro. The cost of victory was high, with countless lives lost and entire worlds devastated. The Stanton system was left scarred by the conflict, but the AGA continued to work tirelessly to rebuild and support the recovery effort. Despite the apparent defeat of the Vanduul, rumors persisted that the alien race was amassing a massive fleet in preparation for a future attack on the Stanton system. The AGA remained vigilant, maintaining a strong presence in the system and working closely with the UEE to ensure the safety and security of all citizens and businesses. The AGA’s dedication to responsible and sustainable business practices, safety and security, and collaboration with other members and partners continued to be a driving force behind its success. The organization remained committed to promoting a culture of trust, cooperation, and prosperity within the interplanetary trade community, while also remaining ever-vigilant against the threat of the Vanduul.

As the years passed, tensions continued to mount between the UEE and the Vanduul. The AGA watched with a keen eye, ready to support the UEE in any way necessary to protect the citizens and businesses of the Stanton system. The organization’s commitment to its core values of integrity, honesty, and accountability remained unwavering, and its members continued to Embrace the Call to Honor in all of their operations. Despite the challenges and hardships of the war, the AGA emerged as a stronger and more resilient organization. Its experience in the war effort helped to shape its values and principles, and the organization’s reputation for honor, integrity, and bravery was further solidified. Today, the AGA continues to be a respected interplanetary trade organization and a force for good in the Stanton system and beyond. Its members are committed to promoting a safe and secure environment for all, and to upholding the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and accountability in all of their operations.

CONTRACT COMPENSATION
__

Determining a reasonable compensation for SDEs depends on various factors, such as the level of risk involved, the type of mission, the size of the cargo, and the overall revenue generated by the trade.

That being said, a common industry standard for private security services is 20% of the total value of the goods being transported. In the case of the AGA, considering the average payout for the best cargo ship is around $150k per trade, a reasonable compensation for SDEs could range between $7,500 to $30,000 per trade. Considering that the maximum payout for the best cargo ship can be around $300k per trade, a reasonable compensation range for SDEs could be between $15,000 to $60,000 per trade, using the same industry standard of 20% of the total value of the goods being transported.

However, it is important to note that compensation should be negotiated on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the specific circumstances of each trade and the agreement between the member and the SDE. Additionally, the AGA should ensure that its compensation rates are competitive within the market and aligned with industry standards to attract and retain highly skilled SDEs.
