The 89th Space Activities Division (SAD) is a special branch of a larger task force responsible for conducting detached, long-range operations in uncorrelated space apart from the main force. All operations are at the discretion of the detachment and vary in type.

History

Founded in [REDACTED] after the discovery of unidentified object, the 89thSAD was sent into uncorrelated space as a scouting element. Unfortunately, after passing through the [REDACTED], a malfunction seemingly severed any and all transit between spaces, as well as any communication between the SAD and higher command. Faced with such challenges, the division opted to continue their pre-assigned mission, along with the adoption of new policies to ensure their survival.

Manifesto

The 89th SAD is a PMC org looking to recruit members to enjoy the game with us and build one of the fiercest PMC orgs in the verse. Not only for what’s currently in the verse but what we’ll have in the future, setting our sights on Pyro and all that comes after.

What we have:

Experience, the 89th SAD has members from all walks of life including both former and active military. We have a board of directors made up of members experienced with leading large (60+) milsim units in other games and a core starting group of members who have a love for the game as well as experiencing it with others. Coming from a large milsim in other games we’ve learned what works and what doesn’t.

Structure, the moment you’ve finished your basic training you’re slotted with an element with other members that enjoy not only the game we play but the role in the game you enjoy most. Tired of running bounties solo? Group up with the other fighters in our flight wing and go out together. Prefer the FPS side of things? Join the infantry and clear some bunkers, make new friends, and most importantly have fun.

Maturity, we don’t tolerate any petty arguments within the org and with that expect all members to act like adults. If you have a problem take it to DMs or to your chain of command.

What we’re looking for:

New and old players looking to make some new friends to play the game with and looking to play in a structured environment loosely based off both the real military and the UEE Navy.

Members who are interested in any area of the game, Like space combat? Join our flight wings and get after some bounties. Like FPS missions? Join our infantry detachment and get out there and clear some bunkers with your squad. Want to dominate the verse in your larger ship? Join the fleet and operate as a strike group with the support of others nothing will stand in your way. Or do you prefer the more relaxed logistic side of things like running cargo, mining, or salvaging? Then join our Logistics Crops and help keep the fleet running now and in the future when we’ll need munitions and fuel hauled to the fleet.

Charter

1) Be active. The unit has activity minimums, as well as accountability reports done the day prior to fleet operations, these require your response and the activity minimums are enforced. Failure to comply with this, as outlined in the recruit orientation, will result in being placed in the reserve component or removed on the grounds of inactivity.

2) New joins have one (1) week to complete orientation. Failure to do so will result in removal on the grounds of inactivity.

3) Should a member leave/be removed/retire, they will lose all certs, rank, and any billet held. Should they rejoin, they will have to redo all training and certs to gain them back. Members who leave/are removed/retire twice and wish to rejoin a third time, must be approved by a majority vote of command staff.

4) Keep personal fights personal.
No public slapfights, this isn’t a Thunderdome.
If you have an issue with someone, take it up in DMs.

5) No NSFW, or suggestive themes.

6) No modsass.
Leaders are here to keep channels running smoothly.
Modsassing is defined as trying to coyly get around the rules.
Changing your avatar to NSFW, setting your status/game to bigotry, these kind of things will be treated just like if you infracted it by posting it.

7). Per Star Citizen TOS No content which can be reasonably considered, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive, vulgar, sexually explicit, obscene, defamatory, infringing, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights, or in a reasonable person’s view, objectionable will be allowed. 8). Impersonating someone or using an alt account to impersonate someone. Doing so will result in a ban.

9). Per the MARADMIN, active duty service members are not allowed to post, react, or acknowledge political based posts or memes in any way, shape, or form. As this unit houses Service members we ask that there is refraining from any posting of Political events, political satire (i.e political memes), and any other elements that may harm a service member’s career. Disobedience and unrecognition of this rule will be met with extreme enforcement.

10) Operational SOP rule: starting 30 minutes before official op starting time, and lasting 30 minutes after debrief, we are in operational readiness. This means no goofing off, no team killing, no trolling, no grenades, explosions, unauthorized flying etc. Etc. Is allowed. Any questions feel free to ask your leadership element.

11) No sound boards during official fleet operations.

12) If someone requests you stop doing something that is bothering them and/or others cease the problematic actions immediately. If someone continues with problematic actions inform a member of your immediate chain of command.
