5th Fleet Service Record

The 5th Fleet was originally a member of the UEE Navy’s 105th Fleet assigned to the [REDACTED] System on patrol due to confirmed sightings of Vanduul hunting parties and other bandit groups targeting local mining installations.

In 2945 a Vanduul ‘Kingship’ and swarm attacked the mining colony; in direct violation of an order to retreat, members of the 105th pursued and engaged in combat with the swarm in an attempt to save the defenseless miners. The remaining fleet members suffered heavy casualties, including a [REDACTED] , multiple ‘Sub-Capital’ ships, ‘Corvettes’, and sustained damage to the main batteries of both the ‘Javelin’ and ‘Idris’.

The members of the 105th held their position, ensuring the escape of the miners through the Jump Gate, upon which they deemed it necessary to sabotage the Gate and render it impassable so the pursuing Vandaal swarm could not give chase, causing the final function of their batteries to cease.

Upon an eventful, yet successful, return to UEE controlled space the Commanding Officers and Crew of the vessels were discharged from the UEE Naval service.

The 105th had their old designation dropped and retained the ‘5th’ in remembrance of the five surviving ships that returned to allied space.

As of today, the 5th Fleet stands as a Private Military Contracting Corporation, selling their services in the way of Naval support or ground forces.
