Salvaging Game Play Loop Needs Re-Work : Heres how

After some brain storming I found a way to make the current salvaging system feel a lot better. Currently It just doesn't feel like a full cycle. It feels like fracturing and disintegration are a separate system that doesn't need to be done.

After some brain storming I found a way to make the current salvaging system feel a lot better. Currently It just doesn't feel like a full cycle. It feels like fracturing and disintegration are a separate system that doesn't need to be done.

I wanted to come up with a solution that builds off what CIG already has in place as I feel like they did a great job on the mechanics. I really like the new Claw in the reclaimer, however I feel like this current system really makes the Reclaimer less useful. It needs to feel like more of a beast when it comes to salvaging. So with that and the current system in mind I came up with a solution to make the game play loop feel a lot better without adding ANY new game mechanics, just building off of what we already have.

Watch the video to find out how: -Hull scrape at least 75% of a ship before it can be fractured and disintegrated. -Make Construction Materials sell for more than RMC (lower the price of RMC if needed for balance) -Add more searchable items ( loot ) aboard salvage wrecks in Pyro -Change Cargo you find on Stanton "lawful" quests vs illegal and Pyro salvage quests -Make it so the reclaimer can craft a MaxLift Tractor Beam Tool (This can come out of the new cargo stations where the boxes do. Have it come out inside a box when crafted from the terminal )

These changes not only make the game play loop feel better and more connected but it ups the value of the reclaimer and solves any PvP issues of griefing.
