My handle, for example, went from Karl/of/the/sky to Karlofsky. This form of name presentation is almost extinct. It was necessary when the earliest space travel required decades to complete. Lengthy travel times required us to determine the reliability of a space captain and whether it was advantageous to enter into a contract with them.
