In their rush to make credits, many backers focus on one thing/loop and forget to play the rest of the game, this is what causes burnout in any game.
Slow down, enjoy things, regularly change your activities you'll still make money, and you'll have fun along the way.
Better yet, do it as a group. Even the simplest tasks can be fun if you have someone to talk to.
Use foip/voip to talk to other citizens, some of my best moments have come from random VoIP interactions.
