I am a long-time fan of Chris Roberts’ work, starting with the original Wing Commander. To this day, the scramble animation with the accompanying soundtrack still evoke excitement and anticipation in me.
I cannot describe how much I am looking forward to exploring this new universe being created before us. It promises to fill a void in my gaming hobby that I did not even know existed.
At least not until I received that Golden Ticket at the beginning of this insanely slow burn.
That is probably the best way to describe the feeling; that I am a young Charlie Bucket waiting at the entrance of the great Willy Wonka Chocolate factory, with all the other children around me, waiting and hoping for the gates to open.
This promises to be a great ride…
