✦ “The Burden of Expansion” — Founding Lore
Year: 2943
Location: Stanton System, Crusader Orbit
When the first heavy industrial ships arrived in Stanton, the system was a wild frontier of opportunity and bloodshed. Mega-corporations seized the richest territories; everyone else was left to fight over the scraps. Amid this chaos, a former Navy logistician and rugged industrialist, Tyr Asmodius, envisioned a different path.
Rather than become another corporate vassal or criminal syndicate, Tyr founded the Expanse Industrial Mining Concern on a radical mission:
“Build where no one else dares.”
Expanse would go beyond the safe zones — into the volatile asteroid fields, the abandoned derelicts, the windswept moons — and forge prosperity from ruin and wilderness.
The early years were relentless.
Three bases lost to pirate raids. Mining accidents that claimed entire crews. Salvage missions stranded by double-crosses and betrayal.
But Expanse endured.
Because Expanse adapted.
Every hardship was a blueprint. Every scar, a badge of wisdom.
By 2950, Expanse Industrial Mining Concern had transformed into a respected, resilient industrial force.
Not a soulless mega-corp, but a brotherhood of builders — tested by the frontier, bonded by necessity, and guided by a leader whose will was as immovable as bedrock.
Today, under the enduring legacy of Tyr Asmodius, Expanse flies its banners proudly, living by a simple but powerful creed:
“Extract. Expand. Endure.”
From the moons of Hurston to the drifting wreck-fields of the outer systems, the mark of Expanse stands as proof that survival and success are carved, not given.

Operational Policies
Focus: Mining | Salvage | Crafting | Basebuilding | RP-Centric
1. Command and Communications Protocol
Follow the Chain: Orders from Expanse Command are to be followed promptly; feedback respectfully escalated through proper channels.
Communication Clarity:
Use designated comms structures during missions (Primary, Secondary, Emergency).
IC (in-character) communications prioritized during operations; OOC tags (//) for real-world interruptions only.
RP First, Efficiency Always:
Maintain RP immersion, but never at the cost of mission success or security.
2. Roleplay and Culture Standards
Character Immersion:
All operational activity is conducted in-character unless marked OOC.
Lore Alignment:
Expanse is a lawful, industry-driven organization respecting UEE regulations and established Star Citizen lore.
Behavioral Excellence:
Whether IC or OOC, professionalism is mandatory. Disrespect will not be tolerated.
3. Mining Operations Doctrine
Survey, Secure, Extract:
Survey sites thoroughly.
Secure airspace/groundspace.
Extract materials according to Expanse material priority lists.
Yield Efficiency:
Prioritize optimal fragmentation and extraction to maximize profitability and safety.
Refinement and Logistics:
Only authorized personnel may submit materials for refinery contracts.
4. Salvage Operations Doctrine
Wreck Claim Procedures:
All salvageable assets must be claimed via official comms logs.
Strip, Sort, Secure:
Remove high-value components first.
Segregate materials into designated categories.
Secure all loot for transport.
Site Safety:
Always conduct pre-salvage security sweeps to eliminate threats.
5. Crafting, Manufacturing, and Research
Production Mandates:
Manufacturing priorities are issued monthly by Expanse Engineering Corps (EEC).
Component Standards:
Every crafted item must meet Expanse’s operational readiness standards.
Innovation Ownership:
All blueprints, schematics, or designs created under Expanse banner are owned by the Concern unless otherwise contracted.
6. Basebuilding and Expansion
Strategic Growth:
New base locations require environmental, economic, and security evaluations.
Construction Protocols:
Phase 1: Defensive perimeters
Phase 2: Resource Infrastructure
Phase 3: Habitation & Expansion
Defensive Readiness:
All members must attend quarterly base defense drills.
7. Security and Conflict Engagement
Defensive Posture Mandate:
Expanse Industrial does not initiate hostilities unless under direct threat.
Rules of Engagement:
Warn > Deter > Disable > Destroy (in escalation order).
Piracy Prohibition:
Expanse Industrial maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward piracy, except under authorized RP storylines.
8. Member Responsibilities
Contribution Expectation:
Participate in at least one mining, salvage, crafting, or basebuilding mission per operational cycle (weekly).
Activity Reporting:
Report any prolonged absence (>7 days) to Personnel Command.
Training Requirements:
Mandatory completion of basic and advanced industrial operation courses.
9. Internal Economy and Asset Management
Resource Ownership:
Materials extracted during Expanse operations are property of the Concern unless explicitly personal projects.
Profit Sharing:
70% mission payout to contributors
30% retained for org logistics, expansion, and member support.
Asset Use:
Expanse-owned ships, vehicles, and facilities may only be used for authorized missions unless otherwise approved.
10. Disciplinary Actions and Mediation
IC Violations:
Handled through Expanse Tribunal Council for in-character justice.
OOC Violations:
Formal investigation → Warning → Suspension → Removal, based on severity.
Conflict Resolution:
Internal mediation first. Escalate only if mediation fails.
✦ Official Motto:
“Extract. Expand. Endure.”
