Well for starters this website has been built from scratch from my understanding and thus may prove a bit of a problem for some people to post their signatures in the right format, I helped a couple of other guys and thought it might be a good idea to make a general guide, so here goes:

I use http://imgur.com/ to upload my images for use one the internet wherever I may need them.

Imgur's website is fairly easy to use as you just have to have your image on hand as a link or on your computer just click on of the buttons on the website's right hand side;

KVl6rd1.png

The "Computer" button is the simpler of the two buttons to use, you just click it, it will open a popup menu so that you can browse your computer to the location of the image you are wanting to upload, after you open the file it will open this menu on the website and you just have to click the "start upload" button as shown in this picture;

jEf2mAG.png

After your image is done uploading you just have to copy paste the link provided by the website shown in this picture below (just right click on it and copy);

6PhZwzB.png

Now go to RSI's website, into "My RSI / settings / profile" and paste the link you copied from Imgur's website into the signature part at the bottom of the page, it should look like this;

90bXMsQ.png

And just apply changes and your done.

Explanation of the code used for the Signature, let's use my signature code as an example;

<center><a href="http://www.lotd.org/"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/maY0eVL.png&quot; title="Lords of the Dead" alt="maY0eVL.png" /></a></center>

<center> ..... </center> : This is used to center your image on the forums, instead of it being on the left of your screen.

<a href="http://www.lotd.org/"&gt; ..... </a> : This is used to refer to my Guilds website, if you click on my signature it will redirect you to http://www.lotd.org/.

<img src="http://i.imgur.com/maY0eVL.png&quot; : This is the source of the image as in the address to the image on the internet.

title="Lords of the Dead" alt="maY0eVL.png" />: This is the title of my signature, when you hover your mouse over it it will say as in my example Lords of the Dead.

TIPS;
** Remember there is a char limit so you can not use too many images or sentences all together so be smart and use the limited character permitted wisely.
** Try to keep signatures small as to not clutter the forums with big images everywhere, I tend to make mine 400 x 100 pixels, looks best in my opinion without being to exaggerated.
** If you want only the code for the image only, use the following: <img src="http://i.imgur.com/maY0eVL.png&quot; />
** If you want to put a sentence in your signature you can use paragraphs the code for that is; <p> ..(your content/text goes here)... </p>
** If you need more html coding help, you can try Google, as pointed out by Dew Drop, its very intuitive.

---- Forum takes a while to update your signature so be patient guys ----

---- Apparently only backers are allowed to use signatures, not sure about it though ----

Hope this thread is helpful to some people and would be a good idea to sticky if deemed appropriate.

If you need help just give me a pm or leave a message in this thread and I'll try to help out as best of my capabilities permits.

Reapered.

    +1 for helping out the forum newbs!

    Also!
    This site supports a lot more HTML, if you want to have a line of text above a picture, for example; my signature:

    Eye am the strongest in all of space!

    NEHvUZB.gif

    The < p > -content/text goes here- < /p > these stand for Paragraph, and it pulls the text up, so it looks like my animated Cirno .Gif is saying it.

    If you want further HTML help, your best bet would be too Google it, HTML is very intuitive.

    See you in the verse!

    Yes there is a character limit, you would have to leave to reference and title part out of the code for your signatures,
    should look like this <img src="http://i.imgur.com/maY0eVL.png&quot />

    This will show the image you want only, not redirecting links or titles when your hover over it.

    Hope this helps,

    Reapered

    . will edit the post sometime today to address a few things like these to make it more user-friendly.

    In addition to post #1: You don't need the alt="blabla" parts. Those are generated automatically.

    Keep also in mind that it now takes several hours until your signature gets updated!

    BTW, does anyone know where I can make a signature request on the forum? I like the actual but I would like to have a "background" of some sort instead of the white one.

    This Signature picture refuses to display for me in signature section, tried what was shown here but I am using image shack gives me a much longer HTML url that does not fit in text area. :(
    EG:
    <a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.com/i/5jgwodp'><img src='http://imageshack.com/a/img199/3018/gwod.png' border='0'/></a><br>Uploaded with <a target='_blank' href='http://imageshack.com'>ImageShack.com</a&gt;
    Even when I edit it to this to fit, still does not work.

    <a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.com/i/5jgwodp'><img src='http://imageshack.com/a/img199/3018/gwod.png' border='0'/></a>

    Weirdest part is that the code works fine in this post either way.
    IE:
    gwod.png
    Uploaded with ImageShack.com
    and this way edited
    gwod.png

    I would really appreciate any advice you can give to make it work. Have logged out each time to see if it worked also.

    I optimised the image a bit. And your code is just faulty.

    So this is what you'd like to see?

    If so quote my post and steal the code out of it. :)

    This code makes an image to act as link:
    <a href="YOUR SITE LINK"><img src="YOUR LOGO LINK" /></a>

    You can also make a button like this:

    This is an ugly button!

    <a class="holobtn" href="#">
    <span class="holobtn-top abs-overlay trans-02s">This is an ugly button!</span>
    <span class="holobtn-bottom abs-overlay trans-02s"></span>
    </a>

    Or this:
    This is a normal button!

    <a class="Button" href="#">This is a normal button!</a>

    Hope that explains it... :)
